頭には五つの目玉にゾウの鼻のようなチューブ状にのびた器官があり、その不思議な姿の復元を古生物学会で披露されたとき、会場が笑いの渦になったそうです。今の現生動物には見られない特徴をもつため進化史上の試作品と考えられてきましたが、最近の研究により、同じハージェス動物のアノマロカリスや現生のカギムシの関連があるのではないかと考えられています。 People say that the strange-looking reconstruction, which had five eyes on the head and tubular organs like an elephant's trunk, made the audience laugh at a Paleontological Association meeting.
